Fast-Moving Fire Causes Damage At Ardsley Country Club

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- The cause of a fast-moving, two-alarm fire at a building at the Ardsley Country Club early Saturday morning is under investigation.

The building was unoccupied when the fire started at around 4:45 a.m. in the club's kitchen.

The building was unoccupied when the fire started at around 4:45 a.m. in the club's kitchen before quickly spreading to the attic, fire officials said.

Firefighters from Irvington, Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley, Tarrytown and Valhalla battled the blaze, which was brought under control around 7 a.m.

Heavy damage has been sustained to the building.
