The guns were found Thursday, Oct. 13, inside the home of a Spring Street man who had died, according to Westchester County Police, the law enforcement agency that patrols Mount Kisco.

One of the man’s family members was cleaning out the apartment when he came upon the guns, according to police. The weapons were turned over to authorities “for safekeeping,” county police said.

Three days earlier, a 49-year-old man was arrested on South Moger Avenue after he was observed urinating in a parking lot, according to police.

The man, whose identity was not released, was issued a summons and released without bail, according to police. He is to appear in Mount Kisco Court on Dec. 8.

County police responded to a variety of other incidents in Mount Kisco recently, including a call early last week to aid a woman who was having trouble breathing while at the Caremount Medical Group offices on South Bedford Road.

The woman, described as “elderly,” was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital Center via ambulance, according to authorities. No update on her condition was available.

On Wednesday, Oct. 12, county police officers served a Hyatt Avenue man with an order of protection forbidding him from contact with a family member whose identity was not released.

The man also was issued a court order requiring that he appear in Westchester Family Court at a later date, according to police.

The following day, county officers provided traffic control for drivers at Route 133 and Maple Avenue after a traffic light malfunctioned, according to authorities.

The state Department of Transportation was notified of the situation. No crashes were reported as a result of the broken traffic light.
