Chappaqua Accident Strands SUV At Bridge Intersection

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. – A two-car accident left a large SUV stranded at the intersection between both Saw Mill River Parkway entrances in Chappaqua, just before the bridge, after both its front left wheel and axle became detached Tuesday evening. No injuries were reported.

Both the New Castle Police and Fire Departments were on the scene. Those involved in the accident were still being questioned after the crash. The accident occurred at about 8 p.m., police said.

Fire Department members were navigating the intersection as late as 8:50 p.m., despite the SUV’s presence, and no roads were closed.
