He spent his life working as an attorney and had a great passion for the law.
O'Connell is survived by his wife, Patricia A. O'Connell; his son, Thomas J. O'Connell Jr., and his wife Allison R. O'Connell and was soon to become a grandfather.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave., White Plains.
A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 170 Bradhurst Ave., Hawthorne with internment afterward at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Ave., Hawthorne.
