Palma Terlizzi, 93, Longtime Mount Kisco Resident

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Calling hours and services are this week for Palma Terlizzi, 93, who died on Sunday, March 12.

Mrs. Terlizzi was born March 25, 1923, in Orsara Di Puglia, Italy.

She married Antonio Terlizzi and they immigrated to the United States in 1958 with their daughters, Angela and Adele.

In 1959, they welcomed their son, Danny. 

The Terlizzis lived on Lexington Avenue in Mount Kisco for 47 years, raising their children there. They always had a house filled with food, family and friends. Palma was a seamstress by trade, working many years in a local shop in Bedford Hills. She also was an avid gardener and grew vegetables to use in her cooking and was admired by all for her green thumb and beautiful flowers.

Mrs. Terlizzi lost her beloved husband in 1994. Ten years later, she moved to Woodcrest Village where she enjoyed the company of many old and new friends.

She leaves behind her beloved family: three children, Angela Dzurka, Adele Terlizzi and Danny Terlizzi and his wife Lisa; six grandchildren, Jason (Emily) Dzurka, Christopher Dzurka, Kirsten (Fred) Clark, Jonathan (Amy) Dzurka, Elizabeth (James) Holton and Anthony Terlizzi and five great grandchildren, Fisher Clark, Sydney and Robert Dzurka and the newest addition, Alexander Dzurka.

Mrs. Terlizzi will be greatly missed and remembered for her kind and generous heart.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, March 17 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home, 288 East Main St., Mount Kisco.

A small service will be held at Cassidy-Flynn at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Burial to follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
