CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. – Kathryn R. O'Brien of Chappaqua died Tuesday, Oct. 2, at The Cascades in Bethel, Conn. She was 88.
Born Sept. 21, 1924, O'Brien was the daughter of J. Warren and Margaret Russell. She was married to Frank J. O'Brien, who predeceased her.
O'Brien is survived by five children, James (Rosalie) O'Brien, Patricia (Dean) Matthews, Michael (Molly) O'Brien, Frank (Karen) O'Brien and Gerald (Susan) O'Brien; a sister, Barbara Craig; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Beecher Funeral Home in Pleasantville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of St. John and St. Mary in Chappaqua. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
