On Tuesday morning, they got their wish.

Ella got loose on Sunday after something spooked her and she ran through the neighborhood, eventually running up Pleasantville Road, according to her owner, Danielle Weisberg.

"We had just gotten her a little over two weeks ago from the SPCA in Briarcliff," Weisberg said.

Weisberg said people were trying to catch the puppy when they saw it running down Pleasantville Road. Weisberg posted about her missing puppy on Facebook and it went viral in Briarcliff.

"Someone said their sister had seen a dog fitting the description running toward the Trump National Golf Club," Weisberg said."

On Monday, Weisberg and her family went and put signs up and they received a call from an employee at Trump that Ella had been found. Ella was reunited with her family Tuesday morning at the Trump National Golf Club gatehouse.

"I couldn't even speak when they told me they had Ella," Weisberg said. "I was so grateful. The person who gave us the dog at the gatehouse was in tears."

Weisberg said Ella is in great shape with no signs of trauma.

"She's definitely a little more skittish and jumpy," Weisberg said.

Weisberg and her family are thankful for how much interest people in Briarcliff had in finding Ella.

"This really brought out the best in people," Weisberg said. "People forwarded it to everyone they knew. It's unbelievable how much people were concerned about her well being. It's really overwhelming."

Weisberg said she is thinking of getting an electric fence to make sure Ella doesn't get out again.

"I felt so bad about losing her," Weisberg said. "I wasn't sure how this would end. It feels like a miracle."
