What's Happening This Weekend in Chappaqua

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. - Chappaqua has several events going on this weekend for residents of all ages. There will be movie showings, a meeting about the DOT towers, the farmers market and more. Take a look below for a list of events.

  • The children's department at the Chappaqua Library will be surprising children of all ages with a showing of a recent release at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The event is free and open to the public.
  • The Chappaqua Library will continue its Menu in the Movies series at 7 p.m. on Friday with a showing of "All in This Tea." The event will be led by food author Carol Durst, who will also be providing a variety of tea for a tasting. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Chappaqua Library and is free and open to the public.
  • The Chappaqua Farmers Market will return at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The market will continue to be held in the Church of St. Mary the Virgin on South Greeley Avenue.
  • The Chappaqua Library is hosting its weekly Bridge and Scrabble Club on Saturday at 10 a.m. While bridge play is not for beginners, all levels are welcome for Scrabble. The club is free and open to the public.
  • On Sunday at 1 p.m., Peter Feinman will lead a lecture titled "War & Peace: Israel and Palestine in Ancient Times and Today" at the Chappaqua Library. Feinman is the founder and president of the Institute of History, Archaeology and Education. The discussion will center on how archaeology can be used and abused as an instrument of knowledge and as a weapon of war for an area that is always in the headlines.
  • Residents protesting the installation of 120-foot microwave towers in Chappaqua, Mount Pleasant and Pleasantville will meet at the United Methodist Church in Pleasantville at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
