What's Happening This Weekend in Chappaqua

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. - Chappaqua has several events going on this weekend for residents of all ages. There will be a school play, a ZumbaThon, the farmers market and more. Take a look below for the list of events:

  • With Black History Month underway, the Chappaqua Library is having a multi-media presentation at 1 p.m. on Friday on the life of civil rights activist Paul Robeson. The presentation, which is co-sponsored with New Castle Recreation and Parks Department, will include a short video. The event is free and open to the public.
  • The Chappaqua Library is holding a Victorian Valentine Tea event at 4 p.m. on Friday. Kindergarten through fourth grade students are invited to make Victorian crafts and enjoy formal tea at the Horace Greeley House. The event is co-sponsored with the New Castle Historical Society. Registration is necessary as space is limited.
  • The Chappaqua Farmers Market will return at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The market will continue to be held in the Church of St. Mary the Virgin on South Greeley Avenue.
  • The 4th Annual ZumbaThon Charity Event for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will return to Dance Emotions at 75 S. Greeley Ave. on Sunday. The event is sponsored by Zumba instructor Peggy Raiskums. All of the proceeds will be donated to SPCA of Westchester and space is still available for 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. sessions .
  • Middle school students in the Seven Bridges Theater Company will present renditions of the play "Seussical, Jr." on Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 and are available for purchase on the Seven Bridges PTA website .
