What's Happening This Week in Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Here’s a look at events happening around the Pleasantville this week, including government meetings and community happenings:

Monday

• Pleasantville Board of Trustees will convene at 7 p.m. on Monday for a work session at village hall. The work session will be immediately followed by a regular meeting at 8 p.m. Visit the village's website for the work session and meeting agendas

Tuesday

• Pleasantville Village Court will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at village hall. 

• Rosenthal JCC of Northern Westchester is holding a spring mini-camp from Tuesday to Thursday. Children from kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to attend Lego Land, Toy Factory and Gold Rush events. While the registration date has passed, walk-ins are still welcome at an additional $5 charge. Visit the organization's website for more information.

• A book club at the Mount Pleasant Public Library will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday to discuss "Olive Kitteridge" by Elizabeth Strout. Books will be available at the circulation desk and new members are welcome to attend.  

Wednesday

• Public Safety Committee will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at village hall.

• Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at village hall. Visit the village's website for the agenda.

• Argentine Tango Lessons will be held on Wednesday at the Westchester Ballroom Dance Studio. Beginners class will run from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and intermediate class will run from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

• Jacob Burns Film Center will be kicking off its Westchester Jewish Film Festival at 7 p.m. on Wednesday with a showing of "My Lovely Sister." Tickets are $12 for members and $18 for nonmembers. Additional films will be shown at the center until May 2. The list of showings can be viewed on the center's website.
