CHAPPAQUA, NY-- No plans for the weekend or coming week? Chappaqua has several events going on in September and October to fill residents of all ages' schedules. Here's a look at what's going on in the upcoming days.
On Friday, September 23, the Chappaqua library will be hosting Friday Teen Pizza and Movie. The event starts at 3 p.m. and ends at 6 p.m. Those wishing to attend should call the library to save their spot and to see what movie will be playing. The event is co-sponsored by New Castle Recreation and Parks and Teen Alliance.
Saturdays should be reserved for going to the Chappaqua Farmer's Market, which remains open for the year until November. The Farmer's Market opens at 8:30 a.m. and closes at 1:30 p.m. and is located at the Chappaqua train station. The Farmer's Market aims to offer healthy local produce to residents.
Moms and dads with children four years old to seven are encouraged to attend Saturday Morning with Dad or Mom sessions offered by Barbara Golden from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The class is geared towards working parents who want to spend creative time with their children.
Discover more about your local environment by visiting a local parks like Whippoorwill Park. Once at the park, enjoy a hike on one of their lovely nature trails. Make sure you stop to smell the roses!
