Ward Referendum Missing from Roaring Brook Ballots

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. - The proposed referendum to expand the town board was accidentally left off the back of ballots for one district at Roaring Brook Elementary School.

According to Town Clerk Jill Shapiro, the situation has been resolved and ballots from other polling places have been brought into Roaring Brook for voters to use. "If you're going to vote, go vote," she said. Roaring Brook hosts districts 4, 12 and 16.

The proposed referendum would divide New Castle into six voting wards based on population. Each ward would then elect a representative to serve on the town board.
