The new gazebo will allow us to have a larger orchestra than in the past, said orchestra conductor Michael Shapiro. I really want to play there (at the new gazebo). Its really glorious. People come and picnic. We get thousands of people to come every year.
The Chappaqua Orchestra opened with an overture from Beethoven, followed by The Consecration of the House orchestra from Beethoven. Following the Consecration of the Gazebo, The Chappaqua Orchestra will perform Beethovens 5th Symphony and then conclude with Stars and Stripes from John Philip Souza.
