YORKTOWN, N.Y. - The northbound Underhill Avenue exit ramp on the Taconic State Parkway will be closed until 4 p.m. Wednesday for paving work.

The ramp will close again Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the New York State Department of Transportation said in a statement.

The Underhill Avenue ramp has been used heavily during the construction of the AMVETS Bridge on the Taconic. During construction, northbound traffic has been shifted southbound for a 3.5-mile stretch of parkway, which is four lanes wide with a concrete barrier between two lanes in each direction.

The Underhill ramp is the first exit after northbound traffic is restored to the regular three lanes.

While the ramp is being paved, motorists can exit the parkway at the next exit at Baldwin Road in Yorktown.
