NEW CASTLE, N.Y.--The extreme heat will continue into the weekend in New Castle, with temperatures touching the mid-90s on Saturday. The heat wave will ease Sunday, with temperatures more comfortable in the mid-80s.

On Saturday, the National Weather Service forecast is mostly sunny with a high of 93, yet there is a 20% chance of showers after 11 a.m. A 7 to 10 mph westward wind will keep the air cooler than it had been on Thursday and Friday.

Saturday evening, a slight chance for precipitation continues throughout the night with a low of about 70 degrees.

Sunday, temperatures will stay below 90 degrees, reaching a high of 87 with a slight chance of precipitation.

Sunday evening, the chance for precipitation lingers with a low of 64.

Monday, the temperatures return to normal levels, with a high of 83 and 30% chance of precipitation.
