NEW CASTLE, N.Y. - While more than 1,000 residents have regained power in New Castle since Saturday's snowstorm, 2,813 are still left looking for hot showers, Wi-Fi spots and outlets to charge their phones.
Horace Greeley High School has been offering warm shelter and hot showers in the school gym until 8 p.m. Wi-Fi spots open include the Chappaqua Library, Starbucks and Tazza Café. For general shopping purposes, the A&P in Millwood is open, as are most storefronts on South Greeley Avenue and King Street.
Millwood Garden Center and Chappaqua Paint & Hardware are selling ice melt.
