Imperioli, 19, who may no longer be a student at the college, is charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, according to state police, who assisted in the arrest.

SUNY Purchase police launched an investigation into the anti-semitic graffiti as well as a separate incident involving someone scrawling the words "Black Lives Don't Matter" on campus.

Imperioli already was under investigation for an unrelated petit larceny charge for unauthorized use of a vehicle. When he appeared in court on Tuesday for the case, the judge referred to the swastika incident, noting that he had been involved in "criminal mischief since his last time in this court." The 19-year-old also previously served three years' probation in California for another instance of vandalism.

Three swastikas were reportedly found on the board in a dormitory building's fourth floor, said News 12 Westchester.

Photos were shared on a college Facebook "open forum," said News 12 Westchester.

A similar incident happened at SUNY Purchase two years ago when a student was charged with drawing multiple swastikas on walls and a door in a residence hall, according to New York State University Police, as reported in Daily Voice.
