Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Chappaqua

WESTCHESTER, N.Y.--The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Westchester County through 2 p.m. Monday.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely and some could be severe, officials said. There is also a chance of hail, damaging winds and heavy rain. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent and a high temperature of 76 is expected.

According to the National Weather Service, strong wind gusts are the main threat and could result in power outages. In addition, localized or flash flooding is possible with totals between three quarters to an inch of rain expected.
