In exchange for the money, which went toward the $4.2 million Houlihan property, renamed the Old Field Preserve, Lewisboro was to build the homes or return $500,000 to the county, the website's story said.
Even though the town has built nothing that counts toward the goal, the county has no plans to ask for its money back, and even would consider a request to modify the agreement, said Ned McCormack, a spokesman for Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, according to the website's story.
