PELHAM, N.Y. – Construction will close a portion of the southbound Taconic State Parkway on Friday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
The parkway will be closed between NY 134, Kitchawan Road, and the Saw Mill River Parkway.
The press release advises caution for drivers travelling on the highway through the work zone during those hours. Traffic control devices, signs and flaggers will assist drivers in the area.
Fines double for those who speed through a work zone. Two such violations could lead to a suspended license.
