Overturned Vehicle, Car Fire Cause Delays On Taconic State Parkway, I-84

PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- A pair of early afternoon accidents are causing delays for motorists in and around the area Thursday.

An overturned vehicle accident has been reported on the southbound Taconic State Parkway at Route 301 in Putnam Valley. The accident, reported at 12:29 p.m., initially resulted inthe closure of the southbound lanes, and then the closure of the right-hand lane.

A car fire, reported at 12:25 p.m., is causing delays on westbound I-84 in Danbury, just prior to Exit 3.
