CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. A 30-year-old Ossining man was arrested last week and charged with beating his uncle until he was nearly unconscious.
New Castle Police received a 911 call last Wednesday night asking that an ambulance be sent to 116 Hawkes Avenue in Ossining. The caller told police that a man there had been beaten and needed help.
When they arrived, officers found a 59-year-old man semi-conscious. His nephew, Dustin Graves, 30, was charged with second degree assault, a felony.
Graves was arraigned before New Castle Town Justice David Zuckerman and was remanded to the Westchester County Jail on $10,000.00 bail.
The victim was taken by the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps to the Westchester County Medical Center for treatment. He is currently in stable condition in the surgical ICU there.
This case is still under investigation by the New Castle Police.

On August 3 at 3 p.m. a larceny was reported at 108 Allen Place in Chappaqua. The rims and tires of a 2007 Blue BMW 530I were stolen at the Chappaqua Train Station. No suspects were found and no arrests have been made.
On August 4, there was a landlord-tenant dispute at 11:32 a.m. on 96 Pinesbridge Road in Ossining. Larry White, 29, of the Bronx rented an apartment in Peekskill and came to 96 Pinesbridge Road, his landlords address to get his security deposit back. The landlord and his three employees reported White verbally threatened the group, which White denied.
The two parties could not agree on the exact amount of the security deposit. They were told by police to take the issue to civil court. The landlord told White not to return to his property or the Peekskill apartment.
On August 5 at 2:50 a.m. there was a verbal dispute on King Street in Chappaqua. Oscar Flores, 41, of White Plains, got into a verbal argument with a New Castle community worker about a parking ticket. Flores argued that he did not exceed the time so he didnt deserve a ticket. The parking attendant said he had an expired inspection sticker. The officer at the scene calmed Flores and no further action was taken.
At 5:50 p.m. on August 5 there was a disturbance on Valley View in Chappaqua. A teenager and his friends were swimming at the teens home on Valley View, making a lot of noise when a resident on Marcourt Road called about yelling coming from the area. Police responded and told the teens to keep the noise down to a minimum for the night.
At 10:48 a.m. on Aug, 8 there was a dispute on 50 North Greeley Ave. between two fans about the Yankees and Red Sox.
