New Castle Town Board Proposed Garden For Millwood Swim Club Site

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. -- A proposal has been presented to the New Castle Town Board to turn the former site of the Millwood Swim Club into a community garden, according to Patch.com.

The proposal for the garden includes approximately 48 raised gardening beds along with a compost pile. Beds could be rented for $50 per season and a portion of the produce would be donated to New Castle-based charities, Patch.com reported.
