New Castle Public Events and Meetings for the Week

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. - Every week, many New Castle organizations and committees hold community events or convene for public meetings. Here is the New Castle community calendar for the week:

-On Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., the Chappaqua Library will hold an open book discussion led by Christine Bobkoff, an adjunct professor at Westchester Community College. Bobkoff and attendees will discuss "Let the Great World Spin" by Colum McCann. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Chappaqua Library and is free and open to the public.

-New Castle Town Board is expected to vote on the 2012 budget Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Assembly Room at Town Hall. Click here for the agenda.

-Superintendent Lyn McKay will make her decision on the middle school scheduling model for the 2012-13 school year at a Board of Education meeting on Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. at Horace Greeley High School. Click here for the agenda.

-On Thursday at 7:30 p.m., the Chappaqua Library is hosting "Author Talk." Richard Pomerantz will discuss his book "A Love Letter From Princess: Lucky Mommy & Me."
