NEW CASTLE, N.Y. - Continuing its effort to keep its residents warm during the mass power outage caused by Saturday's snowstorm, New Castle is opening up the Community Center as an overnight shelter for those without heat.
According to Town Administrator Penny Paderewski, center doors will open at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and those wishing to stay must arrive before 11 p.m. Residents may stay in the center until 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
