New Castle Encourages Residents To Report Potholes

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. – The town is encouraging any residents who live on state and county roads to report potholes or other road damage by calling those offices directly, rather than to the town’s department of public works. While New Castle said it would forward any report along, “the state and county respond well to calls from residents,” according to the town website.  Residents living on the following roads should call New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) office in Katonah at 914-232-3060:

· Route 128 (between Mt. Kisco and Armonk town lines) - Snow control plowing & sanding only· Route 117 (between Mt. Kisco and Pleasantville town lines) - Snow control plowing & sanding only· Route 133 (between Mt. Kisco and Ossining lines) - State DOT handles all issues· Route 134 (between Yorktown and Ossining lines) - State DOT handles all issues· Route 100 (between Yorktown and Ossining lines) - State DOT handles all issues· Route 120 (between Armonk and Millwood lines) - Snow control plowing & sanding only

Residents living on the following roads should call Westchester County DOT at 914-995-4951:

· Seven Bridges Road (Route 120 to Yorktown line) - Snow control plowing & sanding only· Pines Bridge Road (between Yorktown and Ossining line) - Snow control plowing & sanding only· South Greeley Ave. (between North Greeley Ave. and Pleasantville line) - Snow control plowing & sanding only·  Washington Ave. (between South Greeley Ave. and Pleasantville line) - Snow control plowing & sanding only·  North State Road (between Route 100 and Briarcliff line) - Snow control plowing & sanding only The Town of New Castle Department of Public Works can be reached at 914-238-3968.
