New Castle Dems Back David Buchwald for Assembly

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. – David Buchwald added to his list of endorsements on Thursday by receiving the support of the New Castle Democratic Committee. Buchwald is hoping to earn the bid to be the Democratic candidate in the race for the 89th Assembly District and challenge incumbent Robert Castelli (R, C - Goldens Bridge) this November.

Buchwald has already earned endorsements over fellow Democratic Assembly-hopeful Jeremiah Frei-Pearson in Harrison, Lewisboro, North Castle, Pound Ridge and White Plains.

"His professional experience, first as an economist and then as a tax attorney helping people and businesses keep their taxes under control, and his work as a local elected official demonstrating fiscal moderation, and caring for seniors and our area's transportation needs, make David Buchwald the right person to represent Chappaqua, Millwood and the entire Assembly District," said Craig Penn, co-chair of the New Castle Democratic Committee.

Buchwald is a member of the White Plains Common Council and also serves as chair of the White Plains Traffic Commission, a member of the Board of Trustees of the White Plains Historical Society and as one of Westchester County’s representatives on the Metro-North Railroad Commuter Council (MNRCC).
