New Castle Democratic Committee Seeks Candidates November Election

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- The New Castle Democratic Committee is interviewing candidates for the November 2015 election for New Castle town supervisor and two town board seats.

"We have identified several potential candidates with whom we are talking, but we always are looking for new people to get involved and bring new strengths to our Town government,” said Jane Silverman, chair of Nominations and Candidate Development Committee.

This year’s election will be held Nov. 3, 2015. It will be an “off-year election” which coincides with Westchester County elections but does not coincide with any federal or state general election.

Although the Board of Elections has not fixed the dates yet, petitions for town supervisor and town board candidates are expected to be circulated in June and July for filing with the county Board of Elections early in July, and if a primary is required, it probably will be held in September.

Those interested in running, should contact Silverman at silvermanjfs@gmail.com or mail a resume to the New Castle Democratic Committee, P.O. Box 313, Chappaqua, NY 10514.
