CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. - New Castle will collect household garbage Thursday and Friday at the Chappaqua train station and Gedney Park.

The town has been unable to pick up garbage this week as most of its routes are not passable because of Hurricane Sandy, said Supervisor Susan Carpenter.

Garbage trucks will be stationed at the locations for residents who want to bring their household garbage for disposal. The recycling center will be open on Saturday for recycling and household garbage.
