New Castle CodeRED: Avoid Travel, Clear Parked Cars

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. - With several inches of snow expected late Monday night, the New Castle CodeRED alert system is advising residents to avoid travel.

The Saw Mill River Parkway and other local road conditions are predicted to be slippery and worsen overnight.

"Please avoid travel tonight and clear parked cars on town roads. Road conditions are slippery and expected to worsen overnight and through tomorrow morning," said a message sent out to residents at 6:50 p.m.

More alert messages from local government and school officials will likely follow throughout the night and into Tuesday morning.
