The town unanimously adopted a Comprehensive Plan at a town board meeting last week. The plan was five years in the making and it had been 28 years since New Castle last adopted a Comprehensive Plan.
"We did it the right way," Supervisor Rob Greenstein said. "With community participation. We received and incorporated multiple comments and suggestions, which were incredibly helpful.
The comprehensive plan is divided into five categories with 48 goals and 184 action items and the town hopes to adopt it this year.
The five chapters are Livable Built Environment, Harmony With Nature, Resilient Economy, Healthy Community and Responsible Regionalism.
