Maintenance Work Results In I-684 Lane Closures

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Lanes for a southbound stretch of Interstate 684 are scheduled to be closed on Saturday due to maintenance work, the state Department of Transportation (DOT) announced.

The roadwork is scheduled to run from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and affect the left and center lanes from Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road) in Croton Falls to Exit 3 (Route 22) in Armonk.

The DOT encourages drivers to find alternative routes.

A large portion of the affected stretch, which is from Purdys to Katonah, lacks a southbound exit, which can lead drivers to be stuck in traffic jams if there is significant blockage of the southbound section.
