- Chappaqua Central Schools were recently ranked the 10th best school system in the nation, according to Niche, an education website dedicated to providing rankings and statistics on school districts throughout the country.
- Runners from Westchester County were among the 50,000 athletes who hit the streets on Sunday, Nov. 2, for the TCS New York City Marathon.
- One IBM employee was taken to the hospital after being exposed to cyanide Wednesday morning, according to Lt. Kevin Soravilla of the Yorktown police.
- Republican Terrence Murphy defeated Democrat Justin Wagner in the race for the 40th State Senate District.
