Be a part of transforming neighborhoods, leading teams and corporate volunteers, and helping revitalize neighborhoods. Habitat has thousands of high school and college students volunteering and now students can volunteer during the summer months.

Matt Farber, a soon-to-be senior at Rye Country Day, is not only the captain of his football and basketball team, but also co-chair of Habitat for Humanity of Westchester’s A-Team this summer.

“I really like doing volunteer work that you see tangible results, and Habitat for Humanity of Westchester shows neighborhood transformations,” said Farber. He has helped build homes for veterans in Yonkers on High Street and Purser Place; has worked in the community gardens and the ReStore, and helped at the chamber building in Mount Vernon as a leader for corporate volunteers.

Sam Herzog, a football player from Horace Greeley High School in Cha[[aqua and four-year volunteer of the Horace Greeley Habitat club is the other co-chair of the A-Team.

“We look forward to being in every town and city this season,” said Herzog.

Builders Camp runs weekly from Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
