Gas Line Rupture In Chappaqua Prompts School Evacuation, Disrupts Trains

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- An accidentally ruptured gas line prompted the evacuation of a Chappaqua nursery school and caused service disruptions on Metro-North's Harlem Line on Tuesday, according to LoHud.com.

An excavator reportedly struck a gas line while attempting to repair a water leak. Children from the World Cup Nursery School were bussed to Roaring Brook Elementary where they waited to be picked up by parents, LoHud.com reported.

Metro-North also suspended service on the Harlem Line between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., LoHud.com said.
