FitQuest Comes to Chappaqua as Hospital Fundraiser

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. – Local families are invited to put their muscles to work at FitQuest on Saturday to raise money for Northern Westchester Hospital and their school district. The fitness challenge, which features games such as Angry Birds and a steeple chase, will run, rain or shine, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Chappaqua Crossing

Those interested in participating in the challenge must register in advance and there must be one adult in each family or team registration. The registration fee is $10 per person, though children under two years old are free. The hospital is asking each family to raise a suggested minimum of $100, however, participants can set higher or lower goals.

Four grants of $1,250 each will be awarded to an elementary school or district based on the largest number of participants and money raised by each district-affiliated team. While children younger than five and older than 11 can participate, all activities are geared to kids who are in elementary school.

FitQuest is also welcoming day-of volunteers for the event. Teenagers wishing to volunteer must be juniors or seniors in high school. Adult and corporate volunteers are also needed and welcome.
