Cuomo Calls For Calm Following Nypd Shooting Deaths

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo is urging citizens to exercise calm and reflection in the wake of the shooting and killing of two New York City police officers, according to New York State of Politics.

Cuomo ordered flags throughout the state to be flown at half-staff and commended the way police officers have handled the protests in New York and throughout the country, New York State of Politics reported. 

Cuomo's statements come as the New York City police officers and their union continue to be at odds with Mayor Bill de Blasio, New York State of Politics reported.
