  • Douglas G. Grafflin School gym teacher Joe Kearns finished Monday’s Boston Marathon with a personal record of 3:07 at about 1:50 p.m. Kearns, who is also the Horace Greeley assistant high school baseball coach, only got an hour to feel good about it, however, as two explosions rocked the finish line at about 2:50 p.m.
  • After months of feedback from the New Castle Town Board and from residents on its five-story, 36-unit building at 54 Hunts Place dubbed Chappaqua Station, Conifer Realty presented a “different concept” of what it has previously proposed Tuesday night in New Castle Town Hall. The town board was receptive.
