With family members present, Miller was issued by a Westchester County proclamation by a staff member of county legislative Chairman Michael Kaplowitz. Miller's birthday, which is Aug. 19, will be designated a special day in her honor by the county.

New Castle Supervisor Rob Greenstein, meanwhile, announced that the town would have the whole month in Miller's honor.

Miller, who is a great-grandmother, has been fond of bridge, golf and tennis, it was noted.
