"After hearing the news of Usher’s son, who nearly drowned but was revived by a contractor working in his home, it really made you think whether you would know what to do if a loved one is choking or needs CPR," Chamber founder Rob Greenstein said in a statement. "When I heard Jason Goldberg was offering these courses, we wanted to make sure that residents were aware of and would benefit from these life-saving courses.  L3 Fitness was the perfect venue."

Course times are as follows:

  • Sunday, Sept. 22, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 21 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 6, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 12, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Classes cost $125 and 10 percent of proceeds will go to benefit the Horace Greeley Scholarship Fund.

Registration can be done online.
