A GoFundMe page has been set up for Matias' family, who live in Mount Kisco. Matias was found in a pond on Whippoorwill Road after he was reported missing Sunday afternoon. He was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

In one day, $7,450 has been raised, with 109 people making donations. The goal is to raise $10,000.

The page was set up by the staff at Pinecrest Manor, an apartment complex in Mount Kisco, where the family lives.

Matias "was a beautiful little boy, full of life, and always had a wonderful smile on his face," the page said.  "The Pinecrest Manor Community is pulling together to assist this family financially. We are asking the rest of the community to please open your hearts for this family during this difficult time."
