CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Days after Lange's Little Store & Delicatessen dealt with the shooting of two people outside of its entrance, one of its most famous patrons came to visit.

In a Sunday post to its Facebook page, the deli included an image of former President Bill Clinton with owner Richard Lange, who is pictured at right.

"Thanks to our neighbor for coming to check up on us," the deli's Facebook post stated.

The Facebook post can be read here.

Lange's staffers told Daily Voice in 2014 about visits from Bill and Hillary Clinton, which varied in frequency.

The former president and Chappaqua resident's visits to Lange's have been well known for years; commendations from the U.S. Secret Service even adorn the deli's walls. The deli also periodically gets mention in news coverage of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

Life at Lange's was disrupted due to the shooting, which wounded two Chappaqua residents. One of them is Dennis Charney, who is dean of Mount Sinai's medical school.

The shooting suspect, 49-year-old Tuckahoe resident Hengjun Chao, was fired from his assistant professor job at Mount Sinai by Charney, according to records of an unsuccessful lawsuit that filed in response.

Chao is due back in New Castle Justice Court on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
