1-2 Inches Of Rain Possible In Chappaqua On Christmas Eve

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Clouds and heavy precipitation will threaten Westchester County in the days leading up to Christmas, but unseasonably warm temperatures will make the holiday wet and windy instead of white, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain is likely on Tuesday, mainly in the afternoon with highs near 50 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. 

Rain will be heavy at times on Christmas Eve, with up to an inch of additional precipitation possible. Temperatures will reach into the mid-50s with wind gusts up to 25 mph. 

Showers could linger in the area on the morning of Christmas Day, but will eventually clear out leaving sunny skies and a temperature around 53 degrees. 

Sun will remain on Friday and Saturday with temperatures in the high 40s.
