RYE BROOK, N.Y. – Xylem Inc., a global water technology company based in Rye Brook, has announced two leadership appointments, which are effective Oct. 1.

Colin Sabol, of Chappaqua, has been named senior vice president and president, analytics and treatment. David Flinton, currently vice president, marketing and engineering for the company’s applied water systems division, has been promoted to senior vice president and president, dewatering.

In his new role, Sabol will lead the global operations of the analytics and treatment divisions. Xylem’s analytics brands deliver precise measurement for water and wastewater, environmental and multiple industrial applications; and the company’s treatment business provides integrated solutions that enable the reuse of water and wastewater.

Sabol most recently served as senior vice president and president, dewatering for the company. He will continue to serve on the company’s senior leadership team and report to Patrick Decker, Xylem president and chief executive officer. He will operate out of the corporate headquarters in Rye Brook. Sabol replaces Chris McIntire, who has accepted a position outside the company. He will remain at the company through the end of the month to ensure a smooth transition.

Flinton will be responsible for all aspects of Xylem’s dewatering operations globally, including strategy, sales and marketing, product development, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Xylem delivers reliable portable pumps for dewatering, bypass and drainage applications through both rentals and sales. In this role, Flinton will also be a member of the Xylem senior leadership team and report to Decker.

He will operate out of the dewatering headquarters in Bridgeport, N.J.

Xylem is headquartered in Rye Brook and had 2014 revenues of $3.9 billion and about 12,500 employees worldwide.
