CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. – If it weren’t for the sometimes dozens of cars that cruise slowly up and down it every day, Old House Lane in Chappaqua would look like any other suburban cul-de-sac, according to a report by cnn.com.
It’s not the tony mansions or manicured lawns folks are hoping to spy; it’s Hillary and Bill Clinton, residents of the New Castle hamlet since the late 1990s.
The Clintons’ $1.7 million, 100-year-old Dutch colonial manse has been something of a tourist attraction since the former first lady and former president moved in.
But, cnn.com’s report says, the parade of gawkers has grown since the one-time secretary of state and New York senator starting running for president.
They are unlikely to catch much more than a passing glimpse of the famous couple since they are whisked to and fro by the Secret Service and police, the cnn.com report said.
And, although they have been known to patronize local businesses, including a certain delicatessen, the Clintons haven’t been spotted lately, according to the cnn.com article.
