Nonprofit Westchester is an advocacy organization that represents more than 90 nonprofits in the county. Since opening in May 2011, the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley has provided a temporary home for families with critically ill or traumatically injured children.

"The House is a critical part of a child’s treatment, providing the ability for families to stay together," representatives said. "The organization provides families with a low-cost, safe and comfortable home-like setting with the convenience of being steps away from the hospital. Its staff and volunteers provide comfort and support to families during the most difficult time of their lives."

Nonprofit Westchester provides the nonprofit sector "a single unified voice" for the county's economic stability.

“The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley has been a key resource to our community, having served as a home-away-from-home for many families throughout the Hudson Valley area and beyond,” said Joanna Straub, executive director of Nonprofit Westchester. “We are confident they will benefit from the resources that we provide, helping to strengthen the capacity, increase the impact and raise the visibility of nonprofit organizations in the region.”

Nonprofit Westchester focuses on sharing resources, connections, and information and works to strengthen the nonprofit sector’s partnership with the for-profit and government sectors for a more just and caring community.
