CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. Hundreds of basket-toting children arrived Sunday at Chappaqua Crossing for the Chappaqua Volunteer Fire Department's 40th Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
According to the department, 4,000 plastic eggs were scattered for an expected 1,000 or more children. After finding 10 eggs, children were allowed to exchange them for a bag of chocolate and candy.
Among the thousands of eggs were three special "silver eggs" for each of the separate age groups. Children who found the silver eggs were given prizes, which included a stuffed animal and a gift card.
After strolling through downtown Chappaqua on Saturday , the department's Easter Bunny returned on Sunday to pose for more pictures and hand out holiday treats.
