CHAPPAQUA, N.Y.—If you visit Youtube and search “Chappaqua”, you’ll be surprised what you find. You wouldn’t expect that the most popular video is a song by The Fugs, a 1960s rock band formed in New York City.

The song was from the motion picture, Chappaqua, a 1966 cult film written, directed and starring Conrad Rooks. The movie has a brief appearance by the Fugs.

There is an interview with director Peter Berg, a Chappaqua native. Blacktree.tv is interviewing Berg about directing the hit movie, The Kingdom.

Chappaqua Music Director, Michael Shapiro, directs the Chappaqua Orchestra and Collegium Westchester performing the Holberg Suite by Edvard Grieg in late 2007.

This video depicts the opening scene and title sequence of the 1966 cult film Chappaqua , a work of Conrad Rooks.

This video is of Chappaqua’s NFL star, Rich Erenberg scoring a touchdown in the 1984 AFC Championship game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Miami Dolphins. Erenberg’s touchdown tied the game at 7-7 after one quarter of play. The Steelers ultimately lost the game, 45-28.
