CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. Procrastinators rejoice. Many stores in Chappaqua will be staying open late on Christmas Eve to help out last-minute shoppers still in need of gifts.
At Gail Patricks Café on 31 South Greeley Ave., shoppers will receive a $5 card for every purchase of a $25 gift card. The café is also selling its new "Wine Under the Tree" Rewined Candle, which offers the scent of a fresh cut Christmas tree. Along with the gifts, Gail Patricks is selling chocolate dipped macaroons, cupcakes and fresh rugelach for holiday deserts.
Desires by Mikolay at 55 King St. will be staying open on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. We sell gifts from $25, Mikolay recently told The Daily Chappaqua. You can get something as simple as a candle to a nice piece of jewelry. Other popular gifts from the store include leather-bound books, iPad cases and cuff-links, but Mikolay said that fine jewelery is still the stores top-seller.
While the Chappaqua Library and The Village Bookstore sold out of Bill Clintons new book Back to Work during his signing on Dec. 9, Marmalade at 29 King St. was able to pick up 40 signed copies from Clintons estate.
