CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. Brett Rosenberg, senior at Harvard University and a 2008 graduate of Horace Greeley High School, is among the 32 American students chosen as a Rhodes Scholar in 2011.
The news was confirmed by her father, Marc Rosenberg. "She was extremely excited when she called us," he said. Rosenberg won following her final interview, which took place on Saturday.
According to Harvard's website, Rosenberg, a history major, faced competition from 830 students nominated by 299 colleges and universities nationwide. Rosenberg will attend the 2012 school year at the University of Oxford in England, which begins next October and her scholarship covers all costs for two or three years of study.
